Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP 15-dy5007ca and I have just used the windows 11 installation media (from the downloadable software) and I have reached the stage where is prompts to connect to a WIFI network to complete the setup of windows 11. Not a single wifi network shows up in the screen. Am I missing a driver that I can somehow install or am I boned. (I am doing a fresh install on a new m.2 drive)  There are no ethernet ports on the laptop

Also to note, I believe that there is a way to install a driver using a .inf file using CMD however hp only supplies .exe files for their drivers.

Two things.  Firstly the exe files are just self unzipped.  Run thebfile and it will extract all the files including the inf.

Secondly, I just discovered some HP laptops don't offer wifi even if they have a wifi chip and you have to use an USB wifi dongle.

Hi, @Gavin-W

Watch this video for the solution.

How to set up Windows 11 with no Internet - YouTube

Once you are in W11, you can see if a driver is missing for your notebook's Wi-Fi adapter, download it from another PC copy the driver to a USB flash drive and run it from there.

If you do not know what model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook comes with and it needs a driver, there will be a device listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.

If you post the hardware ID for the Network Controller device, I will post the link to the driver you need for it.
