Hi:
Unfortunately, that would not be possible for two reasons.
1. Your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which blocks the installation of any other model wifi card not listed in the service manual from working.
2. The Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 M.2 combination WLAN adapter only has one antenna wire, and any Intel card would require two antenna wires.
Based on other posts on this forum, we did find that this one model AC Wi-Fi card works in the 15-ac0xx and 15-ac1xx models.
This card works with one antenna wire.
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.
You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.
I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.
You can also check your local PC repair shops in the area to see if they have any of that model card they will sell you.
