HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-es1000 (446V7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

My Envy x360 keeps disconnecting one wifi (WPA2) that I use at home.

It keeps disconnecting randomly but mostly when I do virtual meetings using Zoom. But this doesn't happen to other wifi in public and at my workplace.

To make sure, other devices (phones and other laptop) at home have no same issue. So I'm sure this is an issue with this Envy laptop.

I followed the suggestions from this post.

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Envy-Laptop-constantly-dropping-off-t...

But none of them really worked.

First, I tried these steps:

1. Open CMD with Administrator

2. Type:  sc config storsvc type= own

( this resets this service to its default state )

3. Restart the PC.

4. Check if this fixes it.

But it still disconnects.

I also tried to do this way:

Go to Device manager > select the WIFI drivers under network adapter> Right click go to properties  > Under properties go to Power Management Tab> Uncheck  "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

But I cannot find Power Mangement Tab from properties of any wifi drivers from my Device manager.

Could you help me to solve this issue? Thanks

Hi:

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your notebook come with?

The power management option should be found on a separate tab, not the driver tab.

Hi,

It's Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz.

And the power management option doesn't appear on a separate tab.

Hi:

Your Wi-Fi adapter may not have a power management tab because the Intel AX201 Wi-Fi adapter is a CNVIo card which uses the processor in order to work.

What Are the Intel® Integrated Connectivity (CNVi) and Companion...

The AX200 is an independent Wi-Fi adapter that works on its own.

The only suggestion I can offer if you have not done so already would be to update the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version directly from the Intel site:

Windows® 10 and Windows 11* Wi-Fi Drivers for Intel® Wireless Adapters

I tried to update wifi driver but it keeps coming back with the error, "One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and then retry setup." without telling me what the issues are. Do you know what the solution could be for this? or I can contact Intel to solve this error, then try installing again and see if the wifi issue is solved.
