Hi @Spoorthi-31,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  1. In Device Manager → Do you see “Network adapters”?
    • Does your Wi-Fi adapter appear
  2. In Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi
    • Is the Wi-Fi option missing entirely?
  3. Did Windows Update install a driver or security update right before the problem started?

 Troubleshooting Steps You Can Try

1. Show hidden drivers in Device Manager

  1. Right-click Start → Device Manager
  2. Click View → Show hidden devices
  3. Expand Network adapters

Look for:

  • Realtek RTL8852BE / RTL8852CE / Intel AX201 (varies by model)
  • Unknown device
  • Hidden grey Wi-Fi adapter

If you find a greyed-out adapter → right-click → Uninstall device → Restart.

2. Reinstall the Wi-Fi driver manually

  1. Open Device Manager
  2. Expand Network adapters
  3. If the Wi-Fi adapter is present → right-click → Uninstall
  4. Check Delete the driver software
  5. Restart

Windows will reinstall a clean driver.

3. Reset Network Settings

  1. Settings → Network & Internet
  2. Scroll down → Advanced network settings
  3. Network Reset
  4. Restart laptop

This reinstalls all network components.

4. Check if Wi-Fi is disabled in BIOS

  1. Restart your laptop
  2. Press F10 to enter BIOS
  3. Look for Wireless / Network options
  4. Make sure Wireless LAN → Enabled

In that case, we may need to try:

  • BIOS update
  • Checking if the Wi-Fi card is detected in BIOS Hardware Diagnostics.

5. WIFI UEFI test :

To run the HP UEFI test for Wi-Fi, shut down your PC, power it on, and repeatedly press Esc, then F2 to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI menu. From the main menu, go to component test,  select the wireless module, and run the test to check for hardware failures

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!
