I bought this laptop last year and decided I just cant get on with Windows 10, did a fresh install of win 7, all seems to be fine except there is no Broadcom wifi card showing in device manager, the only exclamation mark is for 'Unknown Device' the hardware ID suggests this is a network controller, the hardware for this device is
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_804A103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_804A103C
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&CC_0280
I have been searching two days to resolve this issue without success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:
You need these wireless and bluetooth drivers for W7...
The package contains the Broadcom wireless LAN drivers and utility that are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapter in supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72879.exe
This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver and software for supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is required to enable Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 devices and is compatible with Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions.

Here is the link to the driver you are searching.

If the installer shows some error then manually install it from the device manager.

You're very welcome, @mickety .
When you get that error, the only way I know of to install the driver will be to reinstall W7, and then only use the drivers I posted which are the correct ones.
For some reason when you install the wrong driver version it corrupts the registry, making it impossible to install the correct driver.

It is not the same hardware version of the wireless card, and the driver you posted will not work, nor will manually installing the driver.
The only way to get the driver to install will be to reinstall W7.
Search my solutions and you will find several posts regarding this specific M.2 hardware revision.

Hi Paul, Ive been thinking that also, I think its now getting a bit messy having tried so many drivers, it will also give me a fresh list in device manager. I will now format and will let you know the outcome either way. Thanks for all the help guys. DKG4 thanks but the same cpp 1205 came up.
