Hi @Omen-Guy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Omen 14 sometimes loses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options, and they only reappear after connecting mobile USB tethering and installing updates. Let’s go through a few steps to help fix this.

a. Check Wireless Key/Shortcut

Some HP Omen laptops have a Function key to enable/disable wireless (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth).

Press Fn + F12 (or the key with an airplane/wireless symbol) once to make sure it’s enabled.

b. Verify Wireless Drivers in Device Manager

Press Windows + X > Device Manager.

Expand Network adapters.
• If Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is missing or shows a down arrow, right-click and select Enable device.
• If you see “Unknown device” or a yellow warning symbol, the driver might be corrupted.

c. Install/Reinstall Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Drivers

Visit the HP Support website.

Enter your model number (HP Omen 14).

Download and install these drivers:
Intel/Realtek Wi-Fi Driver
Bluetooth Driver
Intel Chipset Driver (important for wireless hardware detection)

Restart your laptop after installation.

d. Disable Windows Power Saving for Network Card

Open Device Manager > Network Adapters > your Wi-Fi adapter > Properties.

Go to Power Management tab and uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.

Do the same for the Bluetooth adapter.

e. Update BIOS & Windows

Go to HP Support Assistant or HP website → Install the latest BIOS update for your laptop.

Make sure Windows is fully updated (Settings > Windows Update).

f. Reset Network Settings (If Issue Continues)

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Network Reset.

Click Reset Now.

Restart the laptop, and then reconnect to Wi-Fi.

I hope this helps.
