I got it to work after uninstalling from programs  surfshark and surfshark tap driver i think it was called. Its a vpn but it wasnt active all this time. Also not sure if it started working after i uninstalled surfshark or after the surfshark tap driver was uninstalled. But regardless it worked instantly after that.

Hi:

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it come with a Realtek RTL8188EE-VJ 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi adapter.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to install the latest wifi driver for that model wifi card, and restart the PC.

Before installing it am i suppose to uninstall the current Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter and the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller?

HP Recommended

No, you can just install the driver.

You definitely don't want to uninstall the  Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller, because that is the ethernet (wired) adapter.

Its weird cause when i restart the laptop it boots up with  the wifi signal saying it has internet access but when i go to youtube or something i cant connect and if i disconnect and reconnect it goes back to the globe icon and says no internet.

I can't imagine why that is happening.

You may just want to back up your files, clean install W10 and see if the wifi works again.

If the SSD you bought is not too much smaller than the original hard drive you can use the cloud recovery client tool to create a bootable recovery drive.

Here is a link for how to use that utility...

Or you can clean install W10 no matter what size SSD you bought using the Media creation tool at the link below to create a bootable W10 USB installer.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
