@Sara2912, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your Wi-Fi option is missing and you're unable to connect to any network. Let's work together to get this resolved. Please follow the steps below carefully:

Check if the Wireless Adapter is Enabled

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters.
  3. Look for a wireless adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel, or Broadcom Wireless Adapter).
    • If it's not listed, proceed to Step 3.
    • If it is listed but has a down arrow, right-click and select Enable.
    • If it has a yellow exclamation mark, right-click and select Update driver.

Run HP Network Check

HP provides a built-in tool to diagnose and fix network issues:

  1. Download and install HP Support Assistant (if not already installed): HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
  2. Open the app and go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > Internet and Security > HP Network Check.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and resolve issues.

Reinstall Wireless Adapter Drivers

  1. In Device Manager, right-click the wireless adapter and choose Uninstall device.
  2. Restart your laptop. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
  3. If not, download the latest Wi-Fi driver from HP official site: Official HP® Support

Check BIOS Wireless Settings

Sometimes, the wireless adapter may be disabled in BIOS:

  1. Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Navigate to Advanced > Built-in Device Options.
  3. Ensure Wireless LAN is enabled.
  4. Save and exit BIOS.

Reset Network Settings (Windows)

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  2. Scroll down and click Network reset.
  3. Click Reset now and restart your PC.

If the suggestions helped solve the problem, please let us know by clicking “Accepted Solution.” It really helps fellow users find quick answers.

A quick “Yes” also goes a long way in showing appreciation!

Take care and happy computing!

Best regards,
