@Sara2912, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!
Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your Wi-Fi option is missing and you're unable to connect to any network. Let's work together to get this resolved. Please follow the steps below carefully:
Check if the Wireless Adapter is Enabled
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Look for a wireless adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel, or Broadcom Wireless Adapter).
- If it's not listed, proceed to Step 3.
- If it is listed but has a down arrow, right-click and select Enable.
- If it has a yellow exclamation mark, right-click and select Update driver.
Run HP Network Check
HP provides a built-in tool to diagnose and fix network issues:
- Download and install HP Support Assistant (if not already installed): HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Open the app and go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > Internet and Security > HP Network Check.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and resolve issues.
Reinstall Wireless Adapter Drivers
- In Device Manager, right-click the wireless adapter and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
- If not, download the latest Wi-Fi driver from HP official site: Official HP® Support
Check BIOS Wireless Settings
Sometimes, the wireless adapter may be disabled in BIOS:
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then F10 to enter BIOS.
- Navigate to Advanced > Built-in Device Options.
- Ensure Wireless LAN is enabled.
- Save and exit BIOS.
Reset Network Settings (Windows)
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Scroll down and click Network reset.
- Click Reset now and restart your PC.
