  • Router: Unplug the router for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in. This helps refresh your network connection.
  • Laptop: Restart the laptop to clear temporary issues and re-establish network connections.

2. Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network

  1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
  2. Right-click on your Wi-Fi network and select Forget.
  3. After forgetting the network, reconnect by selecting it again and entering the password.

3. Check Network Status

  • Open Network Settings: Press Windows + I to open Settings. Go to Network & Internet > Status and check if it shows any issues.
  • Troubleshoot: Click on Network Troubleshooter (under the Status page) to let Windows automatically detect and resolve any network issues.

4. Check IP Configuration

Ensure your laptop is set to obtain an IP address automatically:

  1. Right-click on the Start menu and select Network Connections.
  2. Click on Change adapter settings.
  3. Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and choose Properties.
  4. Scroll down and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).

10. Check for Malware or Security Software Conflicts

Some antivirus or security software can block internet access. Try temporarily disabling any firewall or security software and see if the issue resolves. If it does, adjust your software settings or reinstall it.

11. Test with Another Device

  • Test if other devices (like your smartphone, tablet, or another laptop) can connect to the Wi-Fi network. If they can, the issue is likely with your HP 14 laptop. If no device can connect, the problem may be with your router or internet service.

12. Check Router Settings

If you have access to your router settings, check for any specific configurations, such as:

  • Ensure DHCP is enabled (so devices get an IP address automatically).
  • Check for any network isolation or filtering settings that could be blocking your laptop.

13. Contact Your ISP

If none of the steps above work, and you’ve confirmed that your router and other devices are working, it might be an issue with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Contact their support for assistance.

I’m pretty confident this will do the trick! But hey, if you run into any bumps along the way or need a little extra help, just give me a shout! I’ve got your back. 💪

And if this reply solved your problem (or made you feel like a tech wizard 😎), please click "Accepted Solution". It helps others, and I promise I’ll do a little happy dance. 🕺 Also, if you could click 'Yes' under ‘Was this reply helpful?’—that’s like giving me a virtual high-five. 🙌

Thanks again for being awesome, and I hope you have an amazing day ahead! 🌟
