I recently reset my HP 14 laptop and now WiFi says it's connected but when I try to do anything online it says I'm not connected to the internet

6. Reset TCP/IP Stack
A reset of the TCP/IP stack can help if there are any network configuration issues.
- Press Windows + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
- In the command window, type the following and press Enter: netsh int ip reset
- Restart your laptop.
7. Check for Windows Updates
Sometimes, network-related issues are caused by outdated system files. To check for updates:
- Open Settings (Windows + I).
- Go to Windows Update and click on Check for updates.
8. Check DNS Settings
Sometimes DNS issues can cause problems with internet access.
- Go to Network Connections > Wi-Fi adapter properties.
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
- Select Use the following DNS server addresses and enter the following Google DNS servers:
- Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
- Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
- Click OK and restart your laptop.
9. Disable IPv6
Some users experience connectivity issues with IPv6 enabled. To disable it:
- Go to Network Connections > Wi-Fi adapter properties.
- Uncheck the box for Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
- Click OK and restart your laptop.

1. Restart Your Router and Laptop
- Router: Unplug the router for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in. This helps refresh your network connection.
- Laptop: Restart the laptop to clear temporary issues and re-establish network connections.
2. Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network
- Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
- Right-click on your Wi-Fi network and select Forget.
- After forgetting the network, reconnect by selecting it again and entering the password.
3. Check Network Status
- Open Network Settings: Press Windows + I to open Settings. Go to Network & Internet > Status and check if it shows any issues.
- Troubleshoot: Click on Network Troubleshooter (under the Status page) to let Windows automatically detect and resolve any network issues.
4. Check IP Configuration
Ensure your laptop is set to obtain an IP address automatically:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Network Connections.
- Click on Change adapter settings.
- Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and choose Properties.
- Scroll down and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
- Ensure that Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are selected.
- Click OK and restart your laptop.

11. Test with Another Device
- Test if other devices (like your smartphone, tablet, or another laptop) can connect to the Wi-Fi network. If they can, the issue is likely with your HP 14 laptop. If no device can connect, the problem may be with your router or internet service.
12. Check Router Settings
If you have access to your router settings, check for any specific configurations, such as:
- Ensure DHCP is enabled (so devices get an IP address automatically).
- Check for any network isolation or filtering settings that could be blocking your laptop.
13. Contact Your ISP
