It almost sounds to me like you have a bad memory chip in there.

Not bad enough to trigger an error code or cause the notebook not to boot, but bad enough to cause blue screens and lockups.

You really don't want to mess around taking those antenna leads on and off too many times.

They are not made for that, and if one of the ends breaks off, you are in the doghouse.

Trying to boot from Ethernet but network not found

So it might not be working...hence not updating from online when it tries...

Trying to boot from harddrive & brings me back to screen trying to get online but I can'r seem to get ethernet to work

Took out ethernet cable to try to force wifi but no reason it should since I can;t configure it..

Oooh boy...

Put back ethernet

Ran again just a moment 10 plus minutes & now if on black screen but not zooming or too hot so I

ll wait & see if it recovers...

Next willbe tp switch to old wifi...not wanting to keep playing w annt caps as they are so delicate,

Well not going well at all...how long should it be on a black screen if its possibly updating>?

Tried to boot from network & network not found

Some seem to day boot should be legacy????

hmmm...getting off track & nothing should have changed in bios///I don;t even want to take out the floppy as any change now it its unstable would mess it.

I don't have any of my PC'S set to boot from a network adapter.

I think you can only do that on a corporate network.

I have no idea how that works.

Basically back to switching the wifi or load win again from usb & try it again...

My feeling its the wifi card messing but cant be sure & win 10 did work with the 9260 onstalled just the card did not turn on.

Cant get win on my usb as it says it will delete my files so I need another usb flash drive.

So only options are to wait & get another usb flash drive or find a way to disab;e the wifi card or remove it

I'm letting the black screen run...Its not likely doing anything as they should lease have some info its its updating or not. Maybe its uploading a new wins 10 or something...not likely but that could take long. Still there should be some notice its doing something just not  ablack hang screen.

It is speeding & slowing so maybe its downloading something on a black screen??? Been close to 2 hrs

Have others to work on but no lit keyb is a pain

Well about 5 hours & nothing yet??? ooohhhh

Maybe the screen display went off??? I have it at 10 min...

Possible its still displaying just a minute???

I usually set it to not shut down when I'm updating but I forgot...

Its not went to sleep but it did go black aroudn 10 minutes???
