Hello @SereannaS, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP PC.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please let us know the PC name and the model number along with the network setup of the HP device so that we can assist you further?

In the meantime, please try the steps provided below.

If your HP laptop no longer shows any option to connect to Wi‑Fi, the wireless network adapter or its driver may be corrupted or disabled. Use the steps below in order.

Step 1 – Let Windows Diagnose the Problem

  1. On the taskbar, look at the network status icon (bottom‑right corner).
  2. If you see the icon:
  3. Right‑click it.
  4. Click Diagnose and repair (or Troubleshoot problems on newer Windows).
  5. Follow the on‑screen steps; Windows will reset the network device and try to reconnect to a preferred network.

Step 2 – If the Network Icon Is Missing

If there is no network status icon or Windows shows “Device not Found”:

  1. Open a browser and go to HP Support:
  2. https://www.hp.com/support
  3. Select your country/region.
  4. Choose Software and driver downloads.
  5. Type your exact HP computer model number in the search box and press Enter.
  6. Download and install the latest WLAN (wireless) driver for your notebook.
  7. Restart your computer and check if the Wi‑Fi icon and options appear.

Step 3 – Fix Weak or Unstable WLAN Connections

If Wi‑Fi appears but cannot connect or is very weak:

  1. Move the computer closer to the wireless router or access point.
  2. Temporarily disconnect other wireless devices (microwave, cordless phone, etc.) to avoid interference.
  3. Force Windows to re‑establish connection values:
  4. Click Start > Network > Network and Sharing Center > Manage wireless networks.
  5. Right‑click your network and click Remove network.
  6. Then reconnect to it and enter your Wi‑Fi password again.

Step 4 – If You Still Cannot Connect to the Router

  1. Power‑cycle the router:
  2. Unplug power from the wireless router for 10–15 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in and wait until all lights are stable.
  4. Try connecting again from your HP notebook.

Take care and have an amazing day!
