I just got the HP Spectre with Windows 10 installed.
Frequently when i go to connect to a wireless network the network icon is not on the task bar (where it usually is) and there are no wireless networks displayed. If I restart the icon will appear and i will see the wireless network.
The computer has the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-7265 adapter with the 18.11.0.8 driver dated 6/22/2015.
I recently went through a detailed driver replacement recommendation from HP because my computer would not shut down, i would intermittently lose my wireless connection and my touchpad was not behaving correctly. This was detailed in
Also when i do a restart it takes a very long time for the restart to happen (about 4 minutes)
This is a new computer and it is not working well at all! any assistance is appreciated

Hello @PMS1228,
Welcome back to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are having an issue with your WiFi, and wanted to help!
To start, can you provide me with the Product Number of the notebook? Here is a link you can use that will help you find your Model and Product Number: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
The link that you provided has an post from a community member, detailing troubleshooting for Sleep Mode, TouchPad, and WiFi issues. That is a good place to start to try resolving your current issues. You can also try checking the Windows Update, for drivers that will work with Windows 10. You can check this site as well: HP Products - Where Do I Find Windows 10 Drivers and Software for My Model?
If you are having trouble installing the drivers, you can use the tool at the following site:
Open the Windows Update troubleshooter
For the slow start up issue, try right-clicking on an empty area on the Taskbar, and select Task Manager. When Task Manager pops up, click on the Startup tab and look through the list of programs to see what may be causing the slow start time. You can also try going into the Fast Startup option. Please review the following resource to help you, and let me know how it goes: Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10
Please let me know if this information was helpful by clicking the thumbs up below.
Have a great day!

I am having the exact same issue with my Spectre 360. I always have atleast 15 networks shown but for some reason after my laptop has been sleeping for ahwile it shows no networks, so I have to restart and then it works. Have you figured out a way to fix this? I was online with HP over the weekend but they couldnt help me. All they kept telling me is that it is working fine.
Also when I try to restart it sometimes the screen freezes on "restarting" for a couple minutes before it actually shuts down and starts back up..

Hello,
I just bought the HP Spectre X360 13-4167nz and Wireless Display is not working.
All drivers & bios up-to-date, installed latest WIDI software and still not success. The screen gives the IP address (had some issues due to the Firewall not giving the IP but is now fixed).
What should I do to make it work please ?
I called HP Support and got a "this service is not free-of-charge" which I think is discussable as it should be working Out-of-the-box.
Anyway, looking forward to get your advice to get it working.
Thanks
Sam

Hello,
I'm also having the same problem with my HP Spectre Pro x360 G2.
I'll be using the internet via WIFI, then it drops and then it no longer displays any networks (even though there are several possibilities in my building) and an icon with a red cross appears in the place of the usual WIFI signal bar.
I've just had to restart my computer about 10 times for it to give me some networks again and it only lasted about 2 minutes before the connection dropped again and I lost all networks.
My product number is V1B00EA#ABU
Please advise.
Thanks,
Helen
