Hi, I did the exact same thing this guy did.
But the wifi adapter/driver is still not showing up for me. I uninstalled the one that has b/g/n on its name, now it is not showing up. I even tried reinstalling win10, still, adapter/driver is not there. I tried downloading the driver from HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p217ne (ENERGY STAR) Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support and I tried installing it, the cmd program will start and will suddenly disappear. I also tried restarting after that but wifi driver is still not showing up in device manager.

Hi:
Your screenshot shows that your notebook used to have a Broadcom wireless N adapter (showing in light shade).
Uninstall that device, check the uninstall driver box, restart the PC and see if W10 installs it correctly.
Here is the latest W10 driver HP has for that model wifi adapter...
7.35.351.0

You need this driver for the PCI Simple Communications Controller...
This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
