Hi there,

I recently tried to setup an old hp laptop of mine, only to find out that I cannot turn on the wireless capability setting. There is a small button in the top right of the keyboard that is permanently yellow. I have been through many forums to try and figure out how to solve the problem, but nothing seems to work. I have tried to update drivers, I've tried to check hardware components in the system Bios, and more. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to install the HP connection manager software, restart the PC and see if you can turn on the wifi using the HP connection manager software controls.

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for the supported notebook running a supported operating system.

Thanks a lot for the quick response. I'll give this a go and let you know if it works or not.
