HP Notebook - 17-by0053od

Wireless connection has gotten turned off on my laptop. There are no connections available. Nothing wrong with Wi-Fi. Able to get on with my phone and another laptop. This happened last week after cleaning dust off keyboard. I finally found a forum where someone said to turn on airplane mode with function key. Then hold down fn key. Then turn off airplane mode. It worked.   Now the same thing has happened but I have not done anything to the keyboard other than normal typing.    The “fix” that worked last time does not work now. It should not be so difficult to turn on the wireless connection.  Anyone know what I need to do?
