Hi @venkateshrudrav,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion 15t is having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi and is only able to do so after a restart, there are several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Update Wi-Fi Drivers: Make sure that your Wi-Fi drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website, enter your laptop model, and download the latest Wi-Fi drivers for your system.
Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up to date by checking for Windows updates. Sometimes, updates include fixes for connectivity issues.
Restart Your Router: Power cycle your router by turning it off, waiting for about 10 seconds, and then turning it back on. This can help refresh the connection and resolve any temporary issues.
Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi: Go to your Wi-Fi settings, forget the network that you are having trouble with, and then reconnect by entering the password. This can sometimes resolve authentication issues.
Reset TCP/IP Stack: Open a Command Prompt as an administrator and type the following commands one by one, pressing Enter after each:
netsh winsock
reset netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Disable and Enable Wi-Fi Adapter: In the Device Manager, find your Wi-Fi adapter, right-click on it, and choose "Disable." After a few seconds, right-click again and choose "Enable."
Check Power Management Settings: Ensure that the power management settings for your Wi-Fi adapter are not causing it to be turned off to save power. In the Device Manager, go to the properties of your Wi-Fi adapter and disable the option that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power.
Run Network Troubleshooter: Use the built-in Windows Network Troubleshooter to identify and fix network-related issues. You can find it in the Settings app under "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot" > "Internet Connections."
Security Software: Sometimes, security software can interfere with network connections. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall to see if it makes a difference. If it does, you may need to adjust the settings or contact the software provider for assistance.
Check for Interference: Other electronic devices, neighboring Wi-Fi networks, or even household appliances can cause interference. Try changing the Wi-Fi channel on your router to see if it improves the connection.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, there might be a hardware problem with your laptop's Wi-Fi adapter,
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
