Hi everyone, as stated I own an HP OMEN (AMD version) with wifi card MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922.
I have reported to HP supported and they are ok to swap with another brand of Wi-Fi card (Intel AX211, as stated in product specification, it should work. In addition, this varient/combinations can be found in market too).
However, they tried replacing it with 2 different cards, and obviously my laptop could not detect it (as expected as there's people tried out there that AX211 will not work.). Yet the could not explain why AX211 wouldn't work, they wouldn't want to resolve it for me too.
Please advise if there's anything I could do. Thank you.

Hi:
I see that the service manual indicates that the Intel AX211 Wi-Fi card is listed as a supported card.
I don't see how that can be since the Intel AX211 is a CNVI card that only is supposed to work with certain Intel motherboards and Intel processors:

If you are having issues with the Mediatek card, you may want to see if updating the driver to the latest version HP has helps any.

While I can't tell you if it will work or not, if you want to try an Intel non-CNVI card, see if this one works:

Someone recently installed the AX210 in a HP 645 G9 notebook that has an AMD processor and chipset and reported that it works fine.

Hello,
Thanks for your suggestion.
I have tried with latest version, or even previous version of wireless driver, its still the same.
I have also tried with Intel AX210. However, I could not boot up with it. Thinking that it's not whitelisted since service manual did not indicates it.
I also couldn't figure it out why service manual stated that it's actually supported, and HP still thinks that it's my fault that my laptop could not detect card, rather than fixing it on their end.

You're very welcome.
Then I guess you will have to live with the Mediatek Wi-Fi adapter since your notebook is rejecting the Intel cards.
I don't think the Realtek card listed in the manual is any better than the Mediatek one, but you could give that one a try as a last resort.
