It is impossible to answer your question without you providing further information.

 

There are dozens of different model Wi-Fi adapters.

 

When a wifi adapter needs a driver, there will be a device listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.

 

Post the hardware ID for the Network Controller device and I will see if there is a W8.1 driver for it.
