Hello, I'm having problems with my wireless module. Therefore I would like to install a new one.

I've heard there is such a thing as a bios whitelist where some modules are supported and some aren't.

Where can I find such a whitelist?

Thanks

● Atheros WB225 802.11b/g/n 1×1 Bluetooth Combo Adapter

● Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN module

● Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter

Ralink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter

Atheros AR9565 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter for use only on computer models equipped with an Intel processor

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Or alternatively, Contact HP for setting up an order/service via phone support

Once a wireless card is whitelisted it cannot be removed from bios and it will not work.
