I understand you having issue connecting to hotspot. I am here to assist you.
If your HP laptop isn't recognizing a hotspot, you can try these steps:
- Check your wireless signal: Make sure your wireless signal is on by pressing the wireless button or key. If the button doesn't have a light, you can check the wireless connection icon in the notification area.
- Check your distance: Move closer to the hotspot if you're too far away.
- Restart your devices: Restart your laptop and the device providing the hotspot.
- Run the network troubleshooter: Press Windows + W, type troubleshooter, and then click Find and fix problems.
- Update your drivers: Uninstall and reinstall your wireless driver using HP support assistant.
- Check your phone's settings: Make sure your phone's hotspot is turned on and that your wireless plan supports it.
- Check your mobile data: Make sure you haven't reached your mobile data limit.
- Check your security programs: Temporarily disable any firewalls, antivirus, or VPNs on your computer and phone.
- Reset your settings: Reset the network settings on your phone and computer.
- Contact your carrier: If you're having trouble connecting to a hotspot for the first time, you can contact your carrier
