ZBook Studio x360 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello....In July I purchased a ZBook Studio x360 G5 with Intel Core i-9-8950HK. It has an Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 (2x2) Gigabit Wi-Fi + Bluetooth® 5 (no-vPro™).  Monitor is 15.6" diagonal UHD B-LED UWVA Anti-Glare DreamColor for HD Webcam + IR uslim Touchscreen (3840x2160).  I'm using it with an HP Thunderbol Dock 230W G2.  I mostly have it on my desk and I have it connected to a 32" ACER monitor via HDMI. I'm on a wireless home network. The problem is....when I'm connected to my Acer monitor, everything works fine. When I open the lid to the ZBook, whether still connected to the Acer or not, the internet drops in and out. The network is still connected, but internet works for a few minutes, then slows down and drops in and out. I've run updates, updated driver, reset the network and modem. I can connect to internet through the personal hotspot on my phone, works fine. But not on the home network wifi. All other devices in the house work, running 4 other computers on the same network, wifi, not to mention phones, ipad's, etc.   No other problems except this. I've tried changing the monitor settings because it seems like the disconnect is somehow connected to opening the monitor lid on the Zbook, but that' hasn't worked. Any ideas ? Oh, I've run the troubleshooter also, nothing.

I think I finally fixed it!  Turns out my cat is to blame. She likes to sit on my router. There is a button to turn WiFi on and off, and it was off.  Weird that my other devices work, but since I've turned it back on my ZBook seems to be working fine with the lid open. I'll keep you posted if the problem persists.
