Hi @Nutinatall,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your Bluetooth mouse is losing connectivity after a recent update, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Restart Your Computer

  • Sometimes a simple restart can help resolve connectivity issues.

2. Re-pair the Bluetooth Device

  • Remove the mouse from your Bluetooth devices and then re-pair it:
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    2. Find your mouse in the list, click on it, and select Remove device.
    3. Turn off the mouse and turn it back on, then put it in pairing mode.
    4. Click Add Bluetooth or other device, select Bluetooth, and choose your mouse to pair it again.

3. Check Bluetooth Settings

  • Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.

4. Update Bluetooth Drivers

  • Outdated or corrupted Bluetooth drivers can cause connectivity issues:
    1. Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
    2. Expand Bluetooth, right-click on your Bluetooth adapter, and select Update driver.
    3. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

5. Roll Back Bluetooth Driver

  • If the issue started after a specific update, rolling back the Bluetooth driver may help:
    1. In Device Manager, right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
    2. Go to the Driver tab and click on Roll Back Driver if the option is available.

6. Check Power Management Settings

  • Windows might be turning off your Bluetooth device to save power:
    1. In Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
    2. Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

7. Troubleshoot Bluetooth Devices

  • Use the built-in troubleshooter:
    1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
    2. Select Bluetooth and run the troubleshooter.

8. Check for Windows Updates

  • Ensure your system is fully updated, as updates can sometimes fix known issues:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

9. Reset Network Settings

  • As a last resort, you can reset your network settings:
    1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
    2. Scroll down and select Network reset.
    3. Follow the prompts to reset your network settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
