Hi:

 

There are no settings in the BIOS just to turn off one speaker.

 

There may be one to disable the audio completely, but not just one speaker.

 

It must have either a bad speaker or a broken connection someplace.

 

I am not a PC repair tech by trade or training, so I would not be able to help you fix the sound problem.

 

I wouldn't even know where to begin to find the source of the problem.

 

I also recommend you start a new post regarding upgrading the processor.

 

I'm sure you could upgrade the processor to the  i7-3520M, but I don't know if you can upgrade to one of the quad core processors.
