Your machine is an HP EliteBook 840 G1 Notebook PC with  Intel Dual Band Wireless- N 7260AN 802.11 a/b/g/n (2x2) WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adaptor part # 717381-001 option.

Looks like you upgraded your machine to Windows 10. Please download and install Intel Bluetooth Driver for Windows 10:

Hi, @viveklky

W10 automatically installs the driver for the Intel 7260 Bluetooth.

Even if it didn't, you should have a Bluetooth device manager category showing up in the device manager.

If your PC originally came with W7, then most likely the Bluetooth was turned off during the upgrade in the HP connection manager software, which is not supported in W10.

So...this is the easiest way to get the Bluetooth to work again when that happens.

Download Ubuntu and make a bootable Ubuntu installer.

https://ubuntu.com/download

Here is a tutorial on how to make the file bootable.

https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows#1-overview

Boot from the Ubuntu installer, and select the option to 'Try Ubuntu Without Installing.'

Turn on the Bluetooth in Ubuntu.

Shut down the PC, remove the Ubuntu installer, and when you are back into Windows, the Bluetooth should be present and working.
