I have problem connecting wifi to channel 32-64 and i read the driver information it should be able to connect to those channels, i tried to upgrade my driver version but the notification says that i have lasted version. My driver is Realtek 8822CE, is it because region lock for wifi channel?, because i searched my region policy it should be able to connect those channels.
for detail :
laptop : HP 240 G8
wifi driver : Realtek 8822CE
Version driver : 2024.10.230.0
Can connect to wifi channel : 149-161

Please help me and enlight me about this situation

Hello @3030Mls

It sounds like the issue is related to regulatory domain settings in the Realtek adapter, even if the driver officially supports channels 36–64. On HP laptops (including the 240 G8), Wi-Fi channel availability is controlled by a combination of:

  • The Realtek driver

  • The router’s region setting

If any of these don’t match, channels 32–64 may not appear even though the hardware supports them.
