Product: HP EliteBook 840 G3 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP EliteBook 840 G3 and they have built in SIM Card slot 

but even if i put in a SIM card into it, The cellular data option doesn't show up,
and when i try looking for the cellular setting i cannot find it!!!

PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi:

 

What you are describing is tells me that your notebook does not have the required WWAN card that 90% of Elitebook 840 G3's don't come with, because they were an expensive option.

 

They all come with SIM card slots.

 

Go to the device manager.

 

Click to expand the Network adapters device manager category.

 

In order for the SIM card to work you need to see one of these model WWAN adapters listed there.

 

HP lt4120 LTE/EVDO/HSPA+ SnapdragonT X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module

 

HP hs31110 HSPA + Intel Mobile Broadband Module

 i have already try to install this driver HP lt4120 LTE/EVDO/HSPA+ SnapdragonT X5 LTE but it is not showing in network adapter section

Them your notebook is missing the WWAN card.

 

No WWAN card driver is going to install when the WWAN hardware is missing.
