notebook da0010nk
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi,

I just bought an HP 15 da0010nk notebook and it came without drivers installed.

So after installing Windows 8.1, I still can't get my wifi to work.

I tried installing the Realtek RTL8821ce driver but it says it doesn't work on this OS or finishes installing but nothing happens.

In HP's drivers support page, there are 3 files for this driver, I Tried installing them all but I still don't have wifi.

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks

Hi:

The drivers on your notebook's support page only work for W10.

I explored the contents of the driver folder for the latest one listed there.  W10 only.

This is the latest W8.1 driver for the  RTL8821ce wifi adapter.

Hopefully, it will work with the hardware revision of the wifi card your notebook has...

I assume you will also need the Bluetooth driver too...

You're very welcome.

That driver should work because there is a W8.1 driver folder inside the file.

See if this works...

Go to the device manager.

Click on the Realtek wifi adapter needing the driver.

It may be labeled as a Network Controller in the device manager, having a little ! mark next to it.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the location where the driver folder was created when you ran the driver.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp91514.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.
