Unfortunately not.

I think it is time for you to back up any files you don't want to lose and do a factory reset of the notebook and start fresh.

See this guide for the various ways to do that.

i just tried the driver but it didnt solve the problem i have, i cannot connect to any wifi signal it only shows the airplane mode button and i cant even click it also my "network controller" says it needs its drivers to be reinstalled (code 18) but when i try to do that it says "Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them." "Realtek RTL...WiFI adapter" "One of the installers for this device cannot preform the installation at this time." I've tried restarting multiple times with the new drivers but no luck so far.. thank you again for your pateience and taking the time out of your day to help me

You're very welcome.

See if this works...

Let's try an older driver...

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82501-83000/sp82801.exe

If it doesn't install automatically, see if manually installing the driver works.

To manually install the driver, go to the device manager.

Click on the problem network controller device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the driver.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp82801.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.

Then restart the PC.

"Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them" same realtek thing popped up while I was trying to install the driver.. It's funny how something that is apparently gone is causing this much, is there any way other than the device manager that I can find the Realtek RTL WiFi adapter?  I uninstalled it but  I think it's what's stopping me from adding new drivers..
