Just received my latest HP laptop. My old unit had an RJ45 port to enable me to link directly to the router by cable. (The speed is much higher with this connection. About double).
There is no such port on the new one. Is there any way I can create a direct link with my router by cable using one of the new ports?
Thanks.

Many thin notebooks now do not have RJ45 port. You can use USB adapter, I'm using the following adapter, it works great
https://www.anker.com/ca/products/variant/aluminum-4port-usb-30-hub/A7507011
I've got 3 more USB 3.0 ports. There are many adapters on market today from 1 port to 7 ports or more.
Regards.
