Hi @guismau,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 3050A All-in-One (J611a) printer is not connecting to your new Wi-Fi network despite your Windows 11 computer being connected, and the printer refuses the password, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue:

1. Verify the New Wi-Fi Network

Confirm Network Name and Password:

  • Ensure that you have the correct SSID (network name) and password for your new Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and other devices can connect to it.

Check Network Band:

  • Ensure that your HP DeskJet 3050A supports the frequency band (2.4 GHz) of your Wi-Fi network. This model may not support 5 GHz networks.

2. Reset Printer’s Network Settings

Perform a Network Reset:

  • Turn on the Printer: Make sure your HP DeskJet 3050A is powered on.
  • Access Network Settings: On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button.
  • Navigate to Network Setup: Use the arrows to navigate to Settings or Setup, and then select Network Setup.
  • Select Restore Network Settings: Choose the option to restore the network settings to factory defaults.
  • After resetting, try reconnecting the printer to the Wi-Fi network again.

3. Reconfigure Wireless Network Setup

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless button, then the Setup button (gear icon).
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard or Network Setup, then follow the on-screen instructions to select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  • After entering the correct network password, the printer should attempt to connect to the new Wi-Fi network.
  • Wait for a confirmation message or check the wireless icon to ensure it’s connected.

4. Use HP Smart App for Setup

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store if you haven’t already.
  • Open the HP Smart app and select Add Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your HP DeskJet 3050A with the new Wi-Fi network. The app will guide you through the process of connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

5. Manually Enter Network Details

  • Open the HP Printer Software on your Windows 11 computer. You can find this software through the Start menu or by searching for HP Printer Assistant.
  • Select Set Up Printer or Network Setup, then follow the instructions to manually enter your Wi-Fi network details.
  • Ensure that the network settings in the software match those of your new Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
