@hemsingh, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue where your HP laptop running Windows 11 disconnects from Wi-Fi after connecting. Let's go through some steps to resolve this:
Run the HP Network Check Tool
HP provides a built-in tool to diagnose and fix network issues.
- Press Windows + S, type HP Support Assistant, and open it.
- Go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > Internet and Security.
- Select HP Network Check and follow the prompts.
If you don’t have HP Support Assistant, download it here: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
Reset Network Settings
Sometimes, resetting the network stack can help.
- Press Windows + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin).
- Type the following commands one by one and press Enter after each:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns - Restart your laptop.
Update Wi-Fi Drivers
Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause disconnections.
- Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Update driver > Search automatically.
Alternatively, you can download the latest drivers from HP: Official HP® Support
Power Management Settings
Windows may turn off your Wi-Fi adapter to save power.
- In Device Manager, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter > Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Test in Safe Mode with Networking
This helps rule out third-party software conflicts.
- Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- Go to the Boot tab > check Safe boot and Network.
- Click OK and restart.
If Wi-Fi works fine in Safe Mode, a background app or service may be causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
