I guess kIshould have asked if my laptop is capable of 250 Mpbs that Xfinity says they have available to us now.  Thanks for the info.

Keep in mind that Xfinity bases those speeds on a wired LAN connection, not WiFi.

802.11n wifi has a 'theoretical' speed of 450Mbps.

I understand but hard wired with Ethernet they claim we should get at least 250Mbps.  I get 73 to 76.  I want to know if my computer is capable or not capable of receiving the 250 Mbps.

It has 7th gen AMD A10 9600P APU 8GB memory

1T hard drive

The specs for your system show that your ethernet connector is 10/100 Mbps. It is NOT capable.

But your wifi is 802.11b/g/n

'N' is theorectically rated at 450Mbps

"Theorectically" because MANY things can negatively effect a wireless signal.
