i bought Hp pavilion dv6 brand new with windows 7 from hp online a few years ago. last year i install windows 10, after that fingerprint is not working. please help me about that. thanks

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

Hi , at all theres no fingerprint reader , when i wrote in start menu, control panel i fond fingerprint validity and i click to repair, it looks good but still not working

Thanks for getting back to me.  Please do not post serial number on the forum, as i s private infomation.  I have had it remove for you.

 

lets see if we can get the fingerprint scanner to work for you.

There is some software I would like to download and install from support/hp.com.

under Driver-chipset

Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver

Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver

reset the computer

try the fingerprint scanner.

 

IF still does not work, please contact Miscrosoft as they are to provide drivers for older computers.
