Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

doing a fresh install on my new hp laptop 7G878UA and it won't detect my wifi network.  I've downloaded a driver from hp to a usb flash drive on another computer.  Now, what do I do to install driver into my setup?

Hi:

 

This is the driver you need for your notebook:  

 

Realtek RTL8xxx Wireless LAN Drivers

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp149501-150000/sp149501.exe 

 

Plug the flash drive into your PC's USB port.

 

Open the flash drive in 'This PC.'

 

Double-click to run the driver file on the flash drive to install the driver.

 

Now if you are stuck at the part of the W11 setup where you can't get past connecting to the internet, see this link for how to continue to set up W11 without an internet connection.

Once you can get into W11 you will be able to view the USB flash drive to install the driver.

If it is an executable file then run it on you system.

 

Since your system came with win11 you might find it easier to use a 32gb flash drive and download the factor restore

using your product ID.

Then run the upgrade app from Microsoft for 23h2
