hi I have HP-Notebook installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS its WiFi does not work showing Adopter not Plugged or WiFi is not on . basically I need help in installing WiFi driver How ?

In the terminal, input the command:
lspci | grep -i wireless
This would show what wifi adapter or card is present on your machine.
Some wifi adapters/cards do not have drivers that are officially supported on Linux or are proprietary and would require the use of downloading the unofficial drivers or proprietary drivers either through a GUI or doing it manually within the termimal.
For this method connect your HP notebook to the internet using the ethernet cable:
Depending on the card, though it won't hurt to try, it should have a kernel module, in the form of a dkms, in the application titled Additional Drivers. Make your way into the mentioned program and search for the dkms file, then on the bottom left of the screen, click on the install button. Wait for it to finish install (it would alert you when it is fully completed) then proceed to reboot your machine. If all goes well, you should be presented with the option for wifi.
