When I travel to the US, I still have to rely on hotels where I stay. On some other countries, hotels supply a device call pocket wifi and I can carry it around to use internet.

 

Now, back to your question, I'm talking about secured and legal here: does your phone have data around the US ? If yes, you can use it as hot spot to access internet
