I was in a website and all the sudden I was taken somewhere else and the next thing I know Cortana was talking to me and prompting me to hit "Run", so I did and ended up with "My Inbox Helper" and have no idea how to get rid of it. I originally thought it was part of the website I was at. My cousin told me about a site called Good Reads. Thats where I was. All the sudden this thing took over my computer. I need help getting it off my computer!!

Hi! @tdk_67-1986,
Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.
The My Inbox Helper New Tab Search redirect is caused by the “My Inbox Helper” extension which is installed by the users, whether that is knowingly or not. Often, this type of program is offered through advertisements or bundled with other software, leaving the user puzzled where this software came from.
Browser hijackers are a type of malware created for the purpose of modifying Internet browser settings without the user’s knowledge or consent.
The My Inbox Helper browser hijacker will change your browser search provider to My Inbox Helper New Tab Search, which will redirect to search result pages from http://search.yahoo.com. This is most likely done to generate advertising revenue by using Yahoo Search for its search results.
Try the steps recommended below to remove My inbox helper from the PC.
Go to “Programs and Features”.
When the “Control Panel” window opens click on the “Uninstall a program” option under “Programs” category.
The “Programs and Features” screen will be displayed with a list of all the programs installed on your PC. Scroll through the list until you find “My Inbox Helper“, then click to highlight it, then click the “Uninstall” button that appears on the top toolbar.
Use Malwarebytes to remove My Inbox Helper from the PC. You can download the software by searching on Google.
Hope this answers your query!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
