Hi @1234567833 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to change or reset the password on your HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:
Step 1: Restore Printer Network Settings to Defaults
This will remove the old password and reset the network settings.
- Turn on the printer if it’s not already on.
- On the printer control panel:
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon or go to Network Settings.
- Select Restore Network Settings (may be under "Settings" > "Network Setup").
- Confirm the action when prompted. The network settings, including the Wi-Fi password, will reset to default.
Step 2: Reconnect the Printer to the New Network
Now, connect the printer to your new network.
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon on the printer control panel.
- Select Setup > Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your new network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Step 3: Update the Password for HP Smart (If Applicable)
If you're using the HP Smart app:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Re-add your printer by tapping the + icon.
- Follow the prompts to connect the printer to the app and confirm the new password.
Step 4: Print a Network Configuration Page (Optional)
To verify the connection:
- On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Reports.
- Select Network Configuration Report.
- The report will show the new network details, including the IP address.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
