How to activate SIM card in EliteBook 840 G10. Sim tray available but there is no option to activate SIM Card

If you can't connect to your cellular provider's service it means that your notebook does not have the optional WWAN hardware needed to connect to a cellular network.

 

Every EliteBook 840 G10 has a SIM card tray but hardly any of them have the optional and expensive WWAN option.

 

In order for the SIM card to work, you need to see one of the following WWAN adapters present and working under the Network adapters device manager category.

 

Intel XMM 7560 R+ LTE-Advanced Pro 
Intel 5000 5G
