I recently bought BOSE Soundtouch speakers that I can't connect to through my HP 6730b Energy Star laptop bluetooth. In short BOSE assumes that the problem is my laptop's bluetooth capacity. I've no idea how to find out whether my bluetooth hardware and drivers support the required A2DP and AVRCP profiles. In any event I wanted to download HP drivers for my computer, but there were no drivers available through the HP website for Windows 10 to which I upgraded some months ago.
In short,
1. is this a driver issue that can be resolved by upgrading drivers? If this is the case, where can I download Win 10 drivers?
2. is this a hardware issue, meaning that my bluetooth 'hardware' does not support the music streaming profiles above?
Please any suggestions out there? As I told BOSE, great speakers but absolutely useless if I can't listen to them!
Thanks, ADBOSE

First thing is to make sure you have a Bluetooth installed???

Look at the Bluetooth video.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, the laptop has bluetooth. I've connected to smartphone and simple JBL speakers before using bluetooth.
The speakers' bluetooth also recongnizes and works with my smartphone, for example.
I've removed the devices from the list, both on the speakers and on the laptop, but that didn't work either.
That's why BOSE suggested checking out the bluetooth profile of my laptop, which is where I'm getting stuck.
If you need any more info, just let me know!

Hi, Anyone out there?
The only reply I've received is from someone asking me to check whether I had bluetooth installed, which I obviously do.
Is there a way to check what the profiles of my bluetooth are and eventually to download the required drivers for Windows 10 (which I couldn't find in the HP site)?
Thanks.

Sorry for not getting back sooner.
Please post the hardware ID for your Bluetooth device.
