HP Elitebook 840 G3 is a series of many models/products with many different options/combinations/configurations. Does your machine have option with WWAN card ? You can check this out using Device manager, does it have one of the following options
● HP lt4120 LTE/EVDO/HSPA+ SnapdragonT X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module
● HP hs31110 HSPA + Intel Mobile Broadband Module
1. If yes, you can talk with your phone provider and get a SIM card with data and up you go
2. If No, you can talk with your phone provider to get something similar to the following device and up you go

Other option (I normally use pocket wifi when traveling overseas. Some hotels/airbnb apartments include this with room price):
