how to get fish smell out of my laptop trackpad?

so i accidentally spilled some oil from sardines on the trackpad of my hp laptop earlier. its been hours and i can barely use the laptop without smelling the metallic fishy smell. how do i get the smell out? i tried using hand sanitizer but that didn't work. i cant use my laptop until the smell is removed it bothers me too much.

Hello skanda2, try using isopropyl alcohol, it is to clean electronic circuits and it will not affect your laptop.
