Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have accidentally enabled the airplane mode and since then the wireless is not working on your HP notebook with Win7. I'll be glad to assist you to enable the airplane mode back on.

During my research, I came across the following steps that can help in enabling the wireless function in Win7:

  • Click Settings.
  • Click Change PC Settings.
  • Click Wireless.
  • Click an affected device to turn it on again.

Or you may  try the following steps:

  • Press Win+X keys to summon the Windows Mobility Center.
  • Click the button labeled Turn Wireless On.
  • Close the window.

I hope this information helps. Let me know how it goes. All the best! 🙂

Hello MKazi

Unfortunately, the solutions you suggested won't work.

The Intel network adaptors AC3168 and above are defaulted to power-disable off (Airplane Mode on). Win8+ can turn the power on (Airplane Mode off) but Win7 cannot.
