my realteck wireless adapter says it will do 802.11b/g/n. however i'm not able to get 802.11n. when I go to the device manager i click on realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi adapter, then the advanced tab to wireless mode there is 3 choices. 1. 802.11b, 2. 802.11g, 3.802.11b/g. there is not a 802.11n option. I want to use 5Ghz. I have a duel band router.2.4G and 5G. I can get 5G on other devices, but not on my laptop. It is a hp 15-f337wm running windows 10 64bit
thanks

Hi:
The card in question only runs wireless N on the 2.4 GHz band.
Anytime you see a wireless N card model where the suffix ends in b/g/n, that means it is a single band (2.4 GHz) only card.
Dual band wireless N cards have suffixes that end in a/b/g/n or a/g/n.

You're very welcome.
Replacing the internal wireless card with a dual band card would be a major project because there is only 1 antenna connected to the current card you have.
You need 2 antennas present and adding a second antenna would require extensive disassembly of the notebook including the display panel area to run a 2nd antenna wire.
The removal and replacement procedure illustration shows 2 antennas, but I do not believe that is correct.
You can see the memory upgrade info in the Maintenance and Service Guide on your notebook's support page, chapter 1 pages 1 and 2.
