All the sudden I get "no connections are available" message, but my ipad connects fine, so I know it's not the wireless router. f12 key light is red/orange instead of blue/white. Please offer solutions. Thanks.

Hi Dhwindmill,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP 2000 Notebook and not getting connected to the WiFi. Try performing a hard reset. When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices, and remove memory cards from the card reader slot. Disconnect all non-essential devices. If that does not help try to turn on the computer you start to press F11 repeatedly till the menu opens. You can do a system restore.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. The HP Support Assistant will help with the wireless updating drivers on your Windows. Have you made changes to the Notebook as far as Virus protection goes?
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks.

Hey Dhwindmill,
Have you tried a system restore? Have you tried to do a driver rollback? Check the connection to the Notebook with the Wireless adapter. If just all of a sudden it started to happen you might want to check about changes in the house that would cause this. It would be helpful if you told me while trying things if you get an error message or the outcome of the troubleshooting. Here is a link to restoring the BIOS. The restore BIOS to default settings will get the Notebook to look for the hardware. If that does not help try to a hardware test.
Please let me know how this goes.
Thanks.
