i need to enter a pin number to start my HP ENVY where is it

Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

I understand that you are asked for a pin number on your Envy printer. I am not sure what pin you are trying to enter. Also, are you trying to install the printer on your Windows PC?

First off, try to enter 12345678 as the pin as this is the default pin for HP wireless direct. If that does not work and if you are trying to install the printer over the network, then connect the printer to the network as suggested below:

1. On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon .

   The Wireless screen displays.

2. Touch the Settings icon .

3. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard, then follow the instructions on the control panel to connect the printer to your wireless network.
