Hi everyone....my laptop internet speed keeps slowing right down...the only way to recover the speed is to restart...but after a short time, it slows down again...it's not an ISP issue as I am always the only one impacted...and it does not matter where I am connected, either at home or elsewhere. I have reset the network adaptor and insured that drivers are up to date. My network card is a Broadcom BCM43142.
Can anyone help me to sort this out?

@ritchiekuwait Welcome to HP Community!
I suggest you run the system test on your computer: Click here for steps
Also, I recommend you to run the troubleshooter available in the control panel to detect and fix the issue automatically.
Update all the drivers on your computer using HP Support Assistance. Click here to know more.
Open the command prompt as administrator and type "sc config storsvc type= own" and hit enter. Find the screenshot below.
This should resolve the issue you are facing. Also, refer Microsoft Forums post.
(Though the header is different or the link is for another device, the steps to follow will help resolve your concern & By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)
Let me know how that pans out,

Hi....sorry for the delay in replying...I was away and then wanted to give your solutions a chance....time to see if it worked. Unfortunately it has not...my issue remains the same. When I restart my laptop, I have really good download speed...but then suddenly, it drops to a snail’s pace and the only way to get it back up again is to restart my laptop....

@ritchiekuwait Better late than never, that said, have you performed the system test? If yes, what are the results? And since you've not mentioned any about the cumulative updates, I'm wondering if you could check both the links I hyperlinked into my previous post and get back to us with the results.
