Your machine is an HP Probook 640 G1. WWAN card for SIM is an option. Did you buy the option ? If not then then the SIM card is useless.

Looks like it is not easy because you have to buy a whole new system board (very expensive) BUT if you wish please use a list of part # on page 38 of the following manual

May be you can simply buy item (26) on page 40. Please check page 65 to see the slot. If available, you will save a lot of money and much simpler.
